NOLAbeings (2014-present): Created daily street portrait project, photographing and interviewing strangers about their lives. Have interviewed over 1k people and gained over 45k followers on social media.
Dear World (February 2016-present): “Story Listener” tasked with interviewing, recording, transcribing, and compiling short stories of personal experiences shared by participants in Dear World portrait shoots.
National Geographic Student Expeditions (Summers 2013-present): Film & Photography Instructor on 2-3 week long expeditions with high school students. Lead in Italy & Greece, the Alps, and Iceland.
National Geographic Young Explorers Grant (July-December 2012): Photo and video documentarian for NG Young Explorer Cat Jaffee’s expedition across Turkey and the South Caucauses, documenting rural beekeepers’ stories and traditional practices. Content published on NG social media platforms.
The Wise Routes Project (July-December 2011): Co-created 2,000 mile bike tour and book project traveling down the west coast to interview strangers and education innovators about how they define success, resulting in blog, short videos, and self-published book “Ride Somewhere Far.”
Ashoka: Innovators for the Public (2009-11): Senior Program Manager for Maternal Health Program. Coordinated and ran $2m international exchange program for young innovators in maternal health. Had lightbulb ding moment realizing how critical compelling storytelling was to their success.
